Each school break, Keep Active runs activity camps for children in a number of venues across the area.  The Easter fortnight was no exception and the feedback we have had from both children and their carers has been fantastic!

Over the 8 days camps were running, we entertained almost 1400 children doing a huge variety of activities!  There was dodgeball, archery, drama, dance, fencing, games and  arts and crafts to name a few.  We even had a Jedi training day at East Durham College!

Many of the children who attended our camps had great things to say about their time with us:

‘I love to do arts and crafts with my new friends.  I loved the parachute games too!’

‘I am good at skipping with a hoola-hoop.  I love this place, it is amazing!’

‘The people that come here are really welcoming and the staff just made the day better!’

We had some fantastic reviews on our Facebook page from parents too:

‘My daughter attended NDA for the first time yesterday and had an amazing time – which was repeated again today. She hasn’t stopped talking about all the fun she’s had and is looking forward to going back tomorrow. She’s been to other holiday clubs in the past but never with such excitement and enthusiasm. It’s fantastic to know she’s having so much fun whilst we are at work and she’s already desperate to return next school holidays’ – Michelle, North Durham

‘My little girl went to Peterlee for the first time on Monday, we were both a little nervous about going somewhere new but when I picked her up she told me she had a great time and loved all the activities especially dodgeball and can’t wait to go back.
