Keep Active have a successful end to 2016
We are delighted to have been successful with 4 new streams of funding within the month of November.
First of all we received 30K from the Big Potential which will support Keep Active to develop a Business Growth Plan, we will be supported throughout the project with colleagues from SES COOP.
The Heritage Lottery Fund awarded the organisation 10k to deliver a innovative and unique project to 5 targeted primary schools across the City. The children will increase their participation in practical and interpretive heritage activities following the lifetime of the project.
We have also been successful with a recent Awards for All application, 10k has been awarded to Keep Active to deliver a programme of FitBlast sessions to children and parents from 10 targeted primary schools across the City. FitBlast is a new concept designed exclusively by Keep Active to encourage families to be more active through interactive and fun exercise sessions as individuals and as a group.
Finally we received another 10k from the Coalfield Regeneration Trust to add value to our already successful holiday programme across the North-East by delivering interactive cookery sessions. These sessions are designed to support the Holiday Hunger agenda by working with families and help with cookery skills, shopping on a budget and increasing their knowledge and confidence around food.
All the above funding support will help many families across the North-East and we look forward to celebrating the success of the projects throughout 2017.
We would like to take this opportunity to thanks all organisations who have supported Keep Active throughout 2016.
