On Friday 17th November, Keep Active joined a whole host of local businesses to support BT in their fundraising evening for Children In Need.

The call centre in Gosforth were taking bids from the public to raise money for the amazing cause.  It was all hands on deck and many staff brought along their children while they worked through the evening.  Our very own Phill Hancock was on top form keeping the kids entertained with a range of activities from sport to arts and crafts.  Other companies supporting the evening were:

Reggie and Mark at NUFC Foundation www.nufoundation.org.uk

Michelle at Asda for the refreshments – and helping to make them! www.asda.com

Paul our caricature artist www.paulslatteryc.co.uk

All at Yo Sushi for the fabulous food www.yosushi.com

Glen McCrory for popping in

Adam for our photos www.langshotphotography.com

And not forgetting the main man himself – Pudsey Bear.

The call centre raised a brilliant £2136.83 which has been sent to Children in Need to add to the total, which currently stands at over £50 million!

A huge well done to everyone who took part on Friday, whether it was wearing your pyjamas to school or sitting in a bath of beans! Here’s hoping the money raised can go some way to improving children’s lives.
