Keep Active volunteer at Children in Need 2016

Here at Keep Active we are always looking to give back to the local community.

On Friday 18th November 2016, one of the Keep Active team, Phillip Hancock, volunteered his time at the BT call centre in Newcastle to provide a fun and activity filled session to the children of the volunteers on the phones, taking calls and donations.

We have had some fantastic feedback from organisers and parents who were at the session;

“My daughter Jessica, thought it was excellent and really enjoyed being there. She wants an indoor archery set off Santa!!! I brought her down to where I was taking calls and within 5 mins she was like, can I go back to the goldfish bowl now haha.” Angus Whitelaw, Parent

“Acey had a brilliant time, couldn’t wait to tell everybody….. definitely enjoyed himself and made some friends too.” Stacey Bell, Parent

“What a great night of entertainment put on by Keep Active (NE) CIC for our young helpers at Children in Need in BT Newcastle. The activities kept them engaged and enjoying themselves for the whole evening – which is no mean feat.  It was great to see kids running around and playing together and not sat at a tablet or computer, but burning up energy, laughing and making friends. Thanks to Phil for all of his help in making this a great success for our young visitors.” Angela Kelly, Children in Need Centre Lead, BT Newcastle

Well done Phill!
